Lee Peck Media client InstaVolt is in the running for a national award. The company has been named as a finalist in the ‘Innovation’ category of this year’s Forecourt Trader Awards after installing rapid chargers at several Gulf forecourts.
InstaVolt’s award submission, written by Lee Peck Media, centred on its installation at the Gulf petrol station in Aikenhead Road, Glasgow. There, InstaVolt has installed a pair of rapid 50kw chargers. They are available for all electric vehicle drivers to use on a subscription free, pay-as-you-go basis.
Motorists simply tap their contactless credit or debit card, charge-up and go. Users are charged only for the electricity they use on a per-unit basis. There is no connection fee, minimum charge or monthly subscription fee.
They have been installed at no cost to the forecourt, thanks to InstaVolt’s unique offer which also sees it pay partner landlords a rental income for housing the charging stations.
The project is one of three in the running for the prestigious Forecourt Trader Innovation award. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony hosted by Denise van Outen in London on September 13.
Tim Payne, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised for our work in helping to expand the UK’s public charging infrastructure. Forecourts play an important role in adding to the network and we’re pleased that Gulf Retail has chosen to work with us as it accelerates its offering for electric car drivers.”
The Forecourt Trader Awards are recognised as the most prestigious and respected in the UK’s petrol retailing calendar and seek to reward the best in the industry.
