Lee Peck Media will join a roll of honour of the region’s most prominent companies by having a room named after it at Wessex Heartbeat’s Heartbeat House.
The news comes as the agency renews its contract with Wessex Heartbeat to deliver PR and communications for this important cardiac charity for a second year.
Heartbeat House is a quiet refuge for relatives when someone they love is undergoing treatment in the Cardiac Centre which is just a three-minute walk away. Boasting 25 bedrooms, comfortable lounge areas, and a kitchen, the facilities that make the house a home from home for everybody that stays there.
John Munro, Wessex Heartbeat’s chief executive, said: “Our relationship with the team at Lee Peck Media is one of the most important we have. Over and above delivering prominent coverage the agency also has huge influence with the business community throughout the region and can put us in front of key decision makers. We’re delighted to renew our agreement and naming a room after one of our key partners recognises their commitment to the cause.
“Over 26 years we have raised more than £16m and we need to secure around £80,000 every year just to fund Heartbeat House alone. Raising that kind of money is no easy task so it’s vital that the charity is front of mind with fundraisers, particularly our friends the corporate market. PR plays a crucial role in helping us encourage donations and we know Lee Peck Media is perfectly placed to drive our awareness campaigns.”
Lee Peck said: “Our relationship with Wessex Heartbeat is really important to us. I was one of the main movers when the charity started over 26 year ago and to be still delivering on their behalf gives me real sense of pride and achievement. I’d particularly like to give a shout out to our account director Laura who really does go the extra mile in delivering the most brilliant job in ensuring Heartbeat’s name remains in the headlines.”
