The Central South’s leading PR-led communications agency has once again worked with its client Southampton Forward to help its spectacular City Reflections project shine for a second year.
Curated by the team behind Hillier’s award-winning Light Up Trails, City Reflections is a free light trail across Southampton’s city centre and the Old Town combining immersive soundscapes and colourful projections.
The Lee Peck Media team and work experience student Isla Walker were on the ground at King John’s Palace and Southampton’s City Vaults as the crew from ITV Meridian and Southern Daily Echo journalists captured a sneak-peak preview of the installations.
We also secured an interview spot on BBC Radio Solent with Southampton Forward’s CEO Claire Whittaker CBE, starting the trail’s first day in the city off with a bang.
We were delighted to deliver PR activity for the launch, working to manage logistics and media access throughout the preview evening and generate high-impact coverage. The event also provided valuable hands-on experience for Isla who got a behind-the-scenes look into live TV broadcasting.
Claire Whittaker CBE, CEO at Southampton Forward, said: “City Reflections: Illuminating Southampton’s Stories is about bringing Southampton’s stories and heritage to life in an exciting, new way. The trail puts local voices at the heart of how our city’s heritage is experienced and offers a wonderful invitation for residents and visitors alike to see Southampton from a new perspective.”
City Reflections will run from Wednesday 18th February to Saturday 21st February between 6pm and 8pm. More information can be found here: https://southamptonforward.org.uk/city-reflections-illuminating-southamptons-stories/
