The first gastro pub offering traditional Indian food on small and large plates together with craft beers, has opened on the south coast at Westquay, Southampton.
A launch party for Tap and Tandoor, located in Westquay’s dining quarter near Showcase Cinemas, was organised by Lee Peck Media where more than 60 VIPs, influencers and journalists sampled a wide range of speciality beers and cocktails from the bar and home-cooked style curries and mixed grills, cooked over charcoal.
A big feature of this independent pub are large TV screens where guests can plan their visit to coincide with their favourite match – they can even put their order in for half time!
On offer were delights from the Tap and Tandoor’s extensive nut-free and vegan-friendly menu including beer battered bhajis, chicken tikka and seekh kebab.
Plus, there were unique cocktails and popular local craft beers from Vibrant Forest as well as gluten free options from Magic Rock Saucer and Purity
This is Tap and Tandoor’s third restaurant to open its doors by Birmingham born Ajay Kenth, following the success of the Peterborough and Solihull eateries.
Ajay said: “The launch was a huge success. Lee Peck Media came highly recommended to us and they didn’t let us down, delivering on every count.
Lee and his team were a joy to work with.”
