There’s no better way to help a community understand what future development in the area looks like, than offering them the chance to put their burning questions straight to the people building it – and get an honest answer on the spot. That’s exactly what our team at leepeckmedia facilitated when we hosted a ‘Meet the Builder’ event in Whitchurch, Hampshire, on behalf of Barratt David Wilson (BDW).

The evening was all about Mill Springs, BDW’s upcoming development of 183 new homes on the edge of the village. The site has planning permission in place and will bring with it a brand-new community set within 27 hectares of green space – woodland, play areas and walking routes all included – alongside plans for a new doctor’s surgery to help support the wider needs of local residents.

At leepeckmedia, helping clients to facilitate events like this is one of the many services we offer, and it was brilliant to see it come together so well. Residents turned out in good numbers, keen to have their say, and BDW were there throughout to listen and to answer.

A panel of five senior members of the BDW Southampton team took to the floor to talk through how work will proceed and the measures in place to keep disruption to a minimum for those living nearby.
