The south coast’s business community descended upon Southampton for the city’s biggest business exhibition this week and Lee Peck Media was at the heart of the action.
Hundreds of business representatives headed to the Novotel for the Daily Echo’s annual South Coast Business Works event and Lee Peck Media was asked once again to use its unrivalled connections to organise and host the popular Question Time panel feature.
This year’s panel featured:
- Elaine Holt – executive vice president guest experience, Carnival Cruises
- Annaliese Hughes – marketing manager, Delicious Dining
- Rebecca Paterson – co-founder, All Star Marketing Club
- Chris Rees – race director, ABP Southampton Half Marathon
- Simon Rhodes – senior partner, Trethowans Solicitors
- Tim Walker – managing director, Taylor Made Computer Solutions
Guided by Lee Peck, the panel discussed big topics including devolution, a southern powerhouse, skills, equality and boosting tourism in the city.
Lee said: “This year’s Question Time was the best yet, with audience members raising big questions that really got the panel talking. What was clear from the discussion was that the south coast’s business community is passionate about making the area a better place to live, work and do business and they’re keen to work together even closer to make that happen.”
South Coast Business Works, sponsored by Lee Peck Media client Trethowans, featured a range of other interactive elements. A speed networking session saw scores of companies come together to do business and a key note speech from Elaine Holt of Carnival Cruises proved popular, with the seminar room packed to the rafters.
Lee Peck Media’s Laura Downton and Madison Potter set up shop within the exhibition zone at the event and met with businesses and organisations to talk about public relations.
Laura said: “There’s nothing quite like getting out there and meeting clients face to face. It was brilliant to see so many people keen to do business with fellow companies right on their doorstep.”
